QOTD 92 of 365

Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty."  A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

John  19:28-30

My calendar tells me somewhere I got a day behind.... considering today is Good Friday (not sure why the day Christ died for us sinners is considered 'good') I felt this was a fitting QOTD... as a rather new Christian I am constantly seeking answers to questions... I am so grateful that our God does not mind our questions.  That does not mean I question God, it just means I have questions... things I don't understand.... If you click on the words "it is finished" and "Good Friday" there are links to some interesting passages I found in seeking some answers... Ultimately they are just someone's thoughts and to get my real answers I will have to wait till the day I see my heavenly Father... While I WILL rejoice when that happens and I look forward to that day, I will wait until He says its time... for now I am just loving all that I am learning.... I've been amazed to see my own heart change regarding matters of personal nature.... and I am just thankful God's not finished with me yet!

Tonight Matt and I are going to see a production that is or has been in many cities/towns.... its a production on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ... it is called The Thorn - while we didn't think about it when we ordered tickets, it dawned on both of us that our tickets happened to be on Good Friday?  Coincident??? I don't think so.... I think there is a message, or someone I/we will encounter or something tonight..... and even if not the play will be moving of that I have no doubts... I finally within that last few months, watched The Passion of the Christ for the first time.... I balled like a baby.... so I am ready with tissues for tonight!

No better quotes than from the Bible. I hope that you and Chris enjoyed The Thorn. I sobbed during the passion of Christ too. Powerful movie.
Have a blessed Easter.
